Frequently Asked Questions
Quickly find answers to the most common questions about Social Rides
General
Social Rides organizes the rides of your club or your group of friends - who's coming, where and when you're meeting. Most cycling apps focus on your individual performance or plotting a route; Social Rides coordinates the people, not just the route. You can import a GPX file exported from your usual app to create your ride in a few clicks.
Most cycling apps are built for individual effort - tracking your performance or plotting a route. Social Rides is built for organizing a ride with others - who's coming, group capacity, one-click cancellation for bad weather, your group's ride history. Many of our users keep their usual tracking app for their stats and use Social Rides to coordinate their club or friend group rides.
Yes, Social Rides is completely free. You can create an account, share your routes, join communities and participate in events at no cost.
You can browse public rides without an account, but to share your own routes, join communities and participate in events, you need to create a free account.
